Spaces
River Bar
The River Bar is one of our most popular spaces, offering full hire for up to 100 guests or half-hire for 50. Surrounded by windows overlooking the marina, it delivers stunning views from every angle. With a private bar, AV facilities, and flexible dining/cocktail layout, it’s perfect for any occasion.
The Lounge
Elevated just above the main floor, the Lounge Room is perfect for smaller gatherings. This semi-private space can accommodate up to 25 guests cocktail-style. You’ll have your own raised area while still enjoying the lively atmosphere of The Dock and easy access to the main bar.
Private Dining Room
Perfect for intimate dinners, corporate luncheons, or private presentations, the PDR seats up to 42 guests. The space features a large TV with HDMI connectivity, flexible open or closed windows overlooking the water, and glass panel doors that can be closed for full privacy or left open to enjoy the atmosphere of the main dining room.
Dining Room
The Dining Room offers a stunning setting for larger seated events, comfortably accommodating up to 104 guests. Located at the back of the venue, this space boasts a warm, inviting atmosphere with beautiful views and easy access to the main bar. Perfect for long lunches, or special celebrations.

Functions FAQs
What function spaces are available at The Wharf Mooloolaba?
The Wharf Precinct offers two venues. The Dock (ground floor) has four function spaces overlooking the Mooloolah River: the River Bar (full hire for up to 100 guests, or half-hire for 50), The Lounge (up to 25 guests cocktail-style), the Private Dining Room (seats up to 42) and the Dining Room (seats up to 104), plus three bars and an open-air beer garden. It suits casual functions, long lunches and pre/post-event dining. Wharf Events (Level 1) is a flexible, AV-equipped space for weddings, corporate events and ticketed functions, seating up to 180 guests or up to 280 cocktail-style.
Does The Dock take group bookings and functions?
Yes. From casual get-togethers to large-scale celebrations, The Dock hosts corporate functions, birthdays, engagements, reunions, end-of-year parties and group dining across multiple indoor and outdoor spaces. Our experienced events team will work with you to create a seamless experience, with mouth-watering food packages and a great selection of beer, wine and cocktails. For bookings over 20, please call ahead of time.
Does The Dock have Christmas party packages?
Yes. We have two limited-edition packages created exclusively for the festive season: the Cocktail Package (2 spritz on arrival and 6pc canapés, $55pp) and the Festive Package (2hr beverage package and grazing table, $75pp).
Do the function spaces have AV facilities?
Yes. The River Bar has its own private bar and AV facilities, and the Private Dining Room features a large TV with HDMI connectivity, making it ideal for corporate luncheons and private presentations.
Can I hire a photobooth for my function?
Yes. Photobooth hire is available as an add-on across all of our event areas. Each session prints two classic photo strips, and guests can instantly save and share their photos digitally. Enquire with our functions team for pricing and availability.
Can I book a function for fewer than 20 guests?
Our function options cater for groups of 20 to 100. For events with fewer than 20 people, please email bookings@thedockmooloolaba.com or call (07) 5293 7780 for a bespoke quote.
How do I get a function quote?
Enquiries can be submitted via the function enquiry form on site, or by emailing bookings@thedockmooloolaba.com. Both The Dock and Wharf Events also run seasonal function offers from time to time — check the Functions page for current terms.
